NACCOM Member One Roof Leicester have recently gained two new houses for destitute asylum seekers and refugees. They are currently in the final stages of preparing the leases and getting the keys, after which they hope to start furnishing and where needed carrying out repair work on the properties before moving residents in.

Salma Ravat says; ‘This is such an exciting time for One Roof Leicester.  Twelve months ago we didn’t have any houses and soon we will have three.  With the addition of the two new properties we will be able to provide accommodation for nine individuals. These individuals will also benefit from having trained befrienders who will introduce and welcome them into their local community and support them in their new homes.  These houses will be available to those who are homeless, refugee or destitute asylum seekers.’
