Could you be NACCOM’s new Treasurer? We are currently looking for a Treasurer with a strong financial background to join our Board, and help us to develop the charity and bring about an end to destitution. See here for more details.
NACCOM is a growing and ambitious charity established in 2006 to support organisations that provide asylum seekers, refugees, and other migrants with housing and other assistance to prevent their destitution. The network has grown to represent 91+ member organisations housing over 3,471 people last year. Having reviewed our vision and strategy, the Board of Trustees and existing staff have agreed plans to;
- increase our support to strengthen and maximise existing members’ impact
- encourage further growth in capacity within the network by attracting new members to join/start up
- develop an advocacy and campaigning strategy working in partnership with others to reduce the effects of destitution.
For a copy of our latest impact report including a summary of our 2020 Vision and Strategy see here.
This is an exciting role for an individual who want to shape the future development of the organisation to make a big difference to the lives of increasing numbers of destitute asylum seekers and refugees and those that support them. See here for the Treasurer Role Description.
The NACCOM board meets 4 times a year for half the day, in a different location across the UK. Reasonable travel expenses will be covered for attending Board meetings.
As the Treasurer is a unique role, we would welcome applicants even if they cannot fully commit to every meeting, but would be able to spend time reviewing our budgets and annual financial reports.
To apply please send your CV and a covering letter of no more than two sides of A4 explaining why you think you would make a good NACCOM Treasurer to [email protected].
Application deadline is 9am Tuesday 28th May 2019.
