LEDAS

We run two houses which each house 4 destitute asylum-seekers (NRPF) . We work collaboratively with Leeds City Council who provide grant support, and with PAFRAS who provide referral and case-work for our residents. Our aim is to provide family-style housing, in which the residents have dignity and independence. Housing essentials, food and an allowance are provided. IDAS

IDAS is the largest specialist charity in Yorkshire supporting anyone experiencing or affected by domestic abuse or sexual violence. Our services include refuge accommodation, community based support, peer mentoring, group work and access to a free, confidential out of hours’ helpline. Giroscope

Giroscope is a provider of housing to disadvantaged people in Hull. We buy and renovate derelict and unused houses which we let on affordable rents to people in need, run volunteer programmes, support small enterprise development and provide food parcels. We also provide one house rent free to a family of EU migrants with no recourse to public funds and are part of the Gateway Resettlement Programme. Positive Action For Refugees and Asylum Seekers (PAFRAS)

PAFRAS - Positive Action For Refugees and Asylum Seekers - is a small grassroots organisation based in Leeds. We work with asylum seekers and the wider community to counter the effects of enforced destitution and increase access to justice. We provide crisis intervention, advocacy, casework and regulated immigration advice and specialised integrated mental health support. PAFRAS also has a holistic and intensive service dedicated for unaccompanied young migrants aged 16-24 years old, a Refugee Family Reunion Service and in-house Domestic Violence and Abuse Support. West Yorkshire Destitute Asylum Network (WYDAN)

West Yorkshire Destitute Asylum Network (WYDAN) is a longstanding network of organisations in West Yorkshire concerned with issues affecting destitute asylum seekers. It became a CIO in 2014 and over the last two winters has run a night shelter project for destitute asylum seekers. The team are now hoping to get the project running all year round. DASH (Destitute Asylum Seekers Huddersfield)

DASH provides support mainly to destitute asylum seekers. these groups do not have access to main public funds and no support from the home office. DASH provides accommodation mainly through its hosting scheme. We also provide limited casework assistance but signpost and refer clients to relevant social services, immigration solicitors and other services.
