The steering group of NACCOM, comprising nine leaders from some of the larger member groups, have decided to seek status as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. This will enable us to apply to larger trust funds and ensure that the work of NACCOM expands both in size and influence. The application has now been submitted to the Charity Commission, and we hope to have the status confirmed before the conference in September.

What this means for member groups will be made clear in coming months: further communications will explain who will be the initial trustees, what the plans are for the future, and how member groups will benefit – watch this space!
