The Great Get Together (16-18th June 2017) is going to be one of the biggest community events the UK has ever seen. The event, which takes place at the beginning of Refugee Week, will be held in honour of MP Jo Cox, a great campaigner on refugee and migrant causes. All events taking part will be promoting a message of welcome and inclusiveness.
Could your organisation host a get together on the weekend of 16-18 June and be part of a national celebration of what we have in common? Or could you encourage your members, staff and supporters to host get togethers? Are you already planning something? We’d encourage you to let the team at The Great Get Together know by emailing your ideas to [email protected].
If you’ve not got underway with plans already, why not check out other ideas on how community organisations and charities can get involved in this event by visiting the The Great Get Together website?
You can also get involved on social media by following The Great Get Together on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and share your plans using the hashtags #greatgettogether #letsgettogether #moreincommon.
