We are delighted to have been awarded £500,000 through the Guardian and Observer Charity Winter Appeal. Here’s a short update about what we’re doing with the funding and how to be part of the capacity-building work we’re planning.
Funds, which were so generously donated by Guardian and Observer readers over the Christmas period, are going to be put to use increasing the capacity of the network to achieve our collective aim of ending destitution.
The main way we’ll be using the funds is to directly resource Full Members to deliver and develop services that prevent homelessness amongst people with no recourse to public funds.
There is a grants application process live now for Full Members to participate in. Please note the deadline for applications is March 12th at 9am.
Here’s Hazel, our National Director, sharing a bit more about the application process:
Members are encouraged to download the Guidance Notes before making an application and contact us at [email protected] with any questions. The application form itself alongside FAQs for the process can be found via the Members Area (NB. you will need to be logged in to view this page).
In addition, funding from the appeal has enabled us to recruit for two new staff posts. These are a full-time Network Development Worker (deadline also March 12th) and a part-time Grants and Admin Officer (deadline March 14th). We are very excited about developing our team with these vital roles.
For more details on how to apply for either of these roles, please click here, and do share with wider networks. Thank you!
