Action Groups

As part of our vision to raise public awareness of, and see an end to, the issue of destitution, we are setting up two action groups for NACCOM Members, Advisors and Activists.

The first group, Advisors, is made up of people with lived experience of destitution. The aim of this group is to communicate stories and promote understanding.

The second group, Activists, is made up of people from all backgrounds within NACCOM Member projects who want to participate in campaigning/lobbying. The aim of this group is to engage decision-makers at a local, regional and national level to enable change.

On 3rd and 4th March 2017, members of the NACCOM Advisors Action group are heading to the Cotswolds for a residential weekend.

Some of the key topics that we plan to look at in more detail over the two days are:

  • Why is storytelling important, and how can we do it well?
  • How to gather case studies – sharing good practice across the network.
  • Creative communication ideas for the future.
