NACCOM Covid-19 Resources – Free online event for members; Looking After Yourself Webinar for managing stress and pressure during the Covid-19 pandemic

NACCOM is pleased to invite members to a free online event: Looking After Yourself Webinar, taking place on three different dates in April and May

***Due to popular demand, NACCOM is running an additional workshop date in May***

NACCOM is offering members affected by the COVID-19 crisis, the opportunity to take part in a 1.5 hour psychosocial support workshop.

The workshop will be facilitated by Dr Mirjam Klann Thullesen, a Psychologist and Psychotherapist, with specialist knowledge of working in the refugee field. Over the past 15 years Mirjam has worked with organisations such as Freedom from Torture, the Poppy Project and the Refugee Council. Mirjam has particular expertise in mentoring other professionals working with complex client groups.

The workshop will be interactive, allowing participants to discuss and share how they are affected by the change in their work situation, including how they are managing stress and pressure. In the workshop, emphasis will be placed on discussing creative and helpful ways staff are managing self-isolation and the pressures of working from home. We will discuss self-care and boundary setting, as a way of creating division between home life and work. The workshop will be run on three separate dates, with 8 participants invited to each meeting.

Dates and times:

➡️ Monday 20th April 3.30pm – 5pm

➡️ Thursday 23rd April 3.30pm – 5pm

➡️ Monday 27th April 3.30pm – 5pm

➡️ Extra date: Thursday 14th May 3:30 to 5:00pm

To register please complete the following form.

Places are limited to 8 per webinar so please only sign up if you can commit to attend. For each Webinar we will select 2 reserves. If the first 8 confirmed participants have not logged into the Zoom call by 3:25pm then the reserves will be given access to the webinar. We are doing this to maximise the places.
