This week (June 10th) the Government committed to fully repealing the Vagrancy Act 1824. The legislation, which criminalises rough sleeping and begging, will finally be repealed in 2026, after being enshrined in law for more than 200 years. What is the Vagrancy Act? Launching our Annual Survey 2025
Today we’re announcing the launch of our 2025 Annual Survey, which enables us to track the scale and impact of destitution in the asylum and immigration system through our frontline network. The survey will go live on Monday 16th June, with a deadline of 17:00 on Friday 18th July. It will be open to both Full Members (who provide accommodation) and Associate Members (who provide other support services).Since 2013, NACCOM has gathered comprehensive data from our members through our Annual Survey.
