Abigail Housing is a West-Yorkshire based charitable company dedicated to providing support and homes to refugees and asylum seekers who find themselves destitute.

BEACON Hosting Project

BEACON is a Bradford-based charity offering welcome, hospitality and support to destitute asylum seekers. Volunteer hosts provide short to medium term accommodation and support in their own homes for ‘refused’ asylum seekers who are actively working towards submitting fresh asylum claims.


St Augustine’s Centre

St. Augustine’s Centre is a Halifax-based community centre  that welcomes the vulnerable and cares for all, including destitute asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants. We enable individuals to access support and advice to help with basic needs, and build confidence and prevent isolation through community participation.


DASH (Destitute Asylum Seekers Huddersfield)

DASH supports asylum seekers in the Kirklees area and beyond. Our services include hosting for destitute asylum seekers and homeless new refugees, drop-ins, where we offer advocacy, destitution support and other services, English classes and social activities.site logo

Open Doors works with asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants, enabling them to integrate into the local society. We offer a range of services including accommodation, befriending, interpreting, food parcels, hardship funds and employment support.

Leeds Asylum Seekers’ Support Network (LASSN) Grace Hosting Project

Leeds Asylum Seekers’ Support Network (LASSN) works with refugees and asylum seekers living in Leeds, offering befriending and support to learn English. The Grace Hosting project links local volunteers with a spare room with asylum seekers and refugees who have nowhere to stay.

ASSIST Sheffield 

ASSIST Sheffield is a volunteer-led charity seeking to challenge asylum destitution and promote integration, with accommodation, advocacy support and welfare payments, as well as volunteering, accompanying, interpreting and social activities.
